Would you like to create and decorate your own pottery pieces while enjoying artisanal cheeses and locally-sourced wine?
The ceramist Hel·lènica Ceramics (@hellenicaceramics) along with the Kreative Therapy team, offer you author ceramic workshops where you have the opportunity to learn to create in a cozy and personalized environment in La Rambla del Barri Vell in Girona.
In this CHEESE & WINE edition of our ONE-DAY pottery workshops, we invite you to complement the pottery experience with local and nearby products. This will include a selection of cheeses provided by a cheese specialist from Girona, who will choose the finest cheeses for the occasion, and a wine cultivated and produced in Sant Martí Vell, also from the Girona region.
Accompanying this tasting, the creative process will consist of two parts:
1. Firstly, the participants will build 1 cup and 1 saucer using refractory stoneware and will decorate it with decorative techniques such as sgraffito, the application of decals, colored slips, natural oxides, and/or crystals.
2. Secondly, the pieces will remain drying for a few days before being fired, will be coated with transparent glaze, and will be fired again over a period of 3 - 4 days. This entire period will last between 2-3 weeks. Once this process is finished, they will be available for collection.
No prior experience is necessary. At all times, participants will have the help of Helena and the Kreative team in the creation of the pieces to ensure a moment of disconnection and creativity.
